Numbers

Numbers Summary

The Book of Numbers is the fourth book of the Christian Old Testament. It can be easily split into different sections. The first part of the Book of Numbers describes the lives of the numbering of the people at Sinai and the preparations that were made for resuming their journey across the desert.

The second part of the Book of Numbers outlines the journey from Mount Sinai to Moab. This includes the sending out of the spies, the murmurings of the people facing hardships along the way, and the people’s 40-year exile in the desert.

The last part of the Book of Numbers gives an account of what happened to the people on the plains of Moab before they crossed the Jordan River.
