Families are made up of all kinds of people, biological parents and kids, step mothers and step fathers, and sometimes even member adopted into the family. A family is just a group of people who have agreed to love each other and stand by each other no matter what life throws at them.

For Jeremy and Casey and their son Landon things didn't work out quite as planned, but they are still a family. And when Casey fell in love with Tyler and Jeremy fell in love with Katie they agreed to raise Landon as a family. And Katie Hild knows that being a parent is a gift that shouldn't be taken for granted.

Today, Katie is marrying her best friend Jeremy. Katie knew that when she accepted Jeremy's proposal that she wasn't just marrying him, she was marrying the entire family and that meant being a 'bonus' mom to Landon. So on the day of her wedding, she decided to say some special vows to Landon's mother, Casey.

She asked Casey and Tyler to stand up during the ceremony and she began to recite the most amazing words. She promised to always be open and communicate with them and to be the best co-parents she can be. Next, she turned to Landon and kneeled down. Katie wanted Landon to know that she would care for him and love him each and every day, so she said specials vows to Landon too.

This special display of co-parenting truly touched my heart and it's so amazing to see parents coming together to care for a child. This little boy is so blessed to have such a wonderful support system behind him. Wishing this family a lifetime of happiness!

Co-Parenting Vows

"Co-parenting means sharing the duties of a child. So, I didn’t tell anyone what I was doing. I not only vowed to Jeremy. I gave a vow to Casey and Tyler. Then I vowed to Landon, and then to Jeremy. I wasn’t just going into a marriage with Jeremy and needed his trust and respect, but I needed Casey's and Tyler's, too. One thing I promised, was to be ONE family, always. I know without hesitation, we will never break that promise. I know I can speak for us all, parenting is hard yet amazing; but co-parenting? It’s a blessing. It was the hardest and best four years of my life. It takes true understanding and support from the ones who love you. Everyone facing custody problems, acceptance, understanding, relationship problems, etc; we get it. Not everyone gets the luxury of having a relationship like we formed; but it's possible to get along, communicate, and give the same rules/love/respect on both sides for your child/children. Go against the norm. BE that CHANGE." #LoveWhatMatters A Love What Matters Original Video Submitted by Katie Hild, Video courtesy of Bob Hogan Productions

Homewrecker Texts A Married Woman, Then Her Unexpected Response Goes Viral

The Bible is pretty clear on the fact that the marriage vows are to be taken very, very seriously. "I do" is a promise, not just to your spouse, but to God. Sadly, though, we live in a world where those vows are broken all the time. And that's why this married woman's response to a man's completely inappropriate advances had us cheering!

A woman identified only as littlesb79 on the social media site Imgur knows what true love looks like. She's happily married to a man who has stood by her through thick and thin. So, when a new "friend" started chatting her up, she didn't think much of it at first.

The two had exchanged some political banter on Facebook back during the election. With her status clearly set to married on Facebook, the woman never expected anything out of line. Their conversations had always been brief and on the up and up.

Until, one day, he completely and totally crossed the line.

The Proposition

The man texted her suggesting they go out sometime. The married woman tried to politely turn him down, pointing out she has a husband. Clearly, that should have been the end of it. But this guy just didn't get the message.

"You're married? Ok, so am I, but we just won't tell. It will be fun," he replied.

Kind of makes your blood boil, doesn't it? Well, you're not alone.

This married woman had already lived through the "in sickness and in health" part of her vows. Her husband had more than proved his commitment to her and their marriage. So, this man's brazen disregard for the sanctity of marriage set her on fire. And she wasn't about to stand for it!

Married Woman's Response Shuts Cheater Down Cold

Who knows what this man was expecting the married woman's response to be. But it probably wasn't this:

"When I got diagnosed with cancer last year I didn't have the heart to tell my boys (whom I have always protected) that I could die. My husband had to look in their eyes and say that I was sick. He subsequently took care of me during multiple surgeries, emptying drainage bags, giving me blood thinner shots, holding my hand while [I] was in pain and going to get chemo infusions. During this time there was a song lyric that would constantly loop in my head: 'Love is watching someone die.' So my question to you is... who is going to watch you die? Get your house in order and please stop messaging me."

I'm willing to bet the man's face looked a little something like this when he read her response:

Kudos to this woman for showing this cheater what marriage is supposed to look like. We certainly pray her words will hit their mark and encourage him to reexamine his motives.

"So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don't let man tear apart" Matthew 19:6
